FAQ

Common questions

How long does a metal roof last?

A properly installed metal roof typically lasts 40–70 years, often two to three times longer than an asphalt shingle roof.

Is a metal roof loud when it rains?

Not with proper installation. A solid roof deck and insulation underneath keep rain noise about the same as a shingle roof.

What's the difference between Standing Seam and Pro Rib?

Standing Seam hides the fasteners under raised seams for a clean, modern look and the best leak protection. Pro Rib uses exposed fasteners and is a strong, more budget-friendly choice, especially for barns and outbuildings.

How many colors can I choose from?

Over 50 — including solid colors, textured finishes, and wood-grain looks. See the color chart above.

Do you tear off the old roof or go over it?

It's your choice. If your old roof is metal, we take the metal off. If it's shingles, you can have us tear the shingles off, or we can go right over them by putting down 1x4 strips and underlayment, then installing the new metal on top.
